  Family legend has it that Laura smoked a pipe, was a midwife,and her family was spared in an Indian uprising because she had delivered the Chief's son. Laura is said to have raised Sarah Marie's 10 children after Sarah's death in 1909. Need further research. Need names and dates. 1910 Census shows only 1 Arch child living with Laura and John!
