Most of this information from Herman V. Peyton and Patricia Allen's notes |
- Herman Peyton gave me much handwritten information about the family, as he had carefully journeled it. He remained on the Peyton family in Casey Co., KY farm land his whole life, and his
son, William and wife remain on the land (2006). Patricia Joan Allen's manuscript info on this was provided by Fay Peyton Spires Ayers, sister of Bernard Peyton, Sr. Faye had the original KY Land Patent in her possession, purchased for Vincent Peyton for his own by his father, Lt. Valentine Peyton, the son of Philip. (KY Land Patent #N3149-Vincent Peyton, assignee of Valentine Peyton, 6 Jul 1820.)
