601 Casey Co Deed Book 6, p.? On 13 Jan 1845, Wm Ervin bought 50 acres ofland for $20, from George Carpenter. The land lay on the headwaters ofthe Big South Rolling Fork (near Peyton and Evans properties ) andshared a corner with Patton (Peyton sp?) (Wm is 29 and trying to getahead. per:Tom Evans

Casey Co Order Book 5: William is dead at age 32. On 12 June 1848Robinsin Peyton, on his own motion was appointed administrator.(Possibly Wm. died of cholera in the early stages of the epidemic thath it KY in 1849.) Next order book lists Ervin name as Irvin.

Buyers included Polly Peyton (his mo-in-law?) the widow of Vincent Peyton, Austin Peyton, Thos Evans, Mrs. Evans (neePatsy Peyton), Robinson Peyton, Geo. Lanham and Granville Johnson. On 3 July 1851, settlement was done, but fate of his farm was unknown.

So, assuming guardianship of Sarah/Sally's children, Sarah/Sally and William Carroll Erwin, b. 1813 and 1815, would just add children in his household that also had kids at home.
